Letter to the Editor (Riverside Press Enterprise)

The Riverside Press Enterprise published a letter of mine today about the drug problem. Here it is:


LOVE TRUMPS DRUGS

The Press-Enterprise article "Drug Gaining at schools" (Aug.19) details the ongoing epidemic of
drug abuse on campus. For more than 25 years, "experts" have offered drug education through Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) and a variety of other programs.

It should be obvious by now that "education" is not the answer to the problem. How long will it be before we realize it?

The answer is homes with love in them.
