Hate Speech against Gays

Recently I have received some criticism for conducting "Hate speech against Gays".

Of course, its a ridiculous accusation. However, since people are so confused and suggestible I thought it would be wise for me to state my opinion for all to see.

I dont believe you will find one single example of "hate speech" against Gays, at least by me. If you do, find it and I will gladly apologize.

For the record, I dont believe we should hate anyone and we certainly should not hate gays. As the Christians say (and frequently dont do) we should hate the sin but love the sinner.
Anyone who cares to may look at my past posts and see that I have spoken out against homosexualty, but that is not the same thing as "hating" Gays.

I have also have spoken out against Alcoholics Anonymous violating its own tradition and subtly (and not so subtly) endorsing the gay life style. They do this by equating Gays to Blacks, Native Americans, and women on the GSO website. They also do it by having Gay meetings. They have also done it by inviting Gay/Lesbian workshops at International AA conventions. GSO has also passed out non-conferenced approved literature in support of Gay/Lesbian movement. They have also done it by including in the 4th edition of The Big Book of AA the story of an unrpentant homosexual "Tightrope".

If you look carefully at my website: Http://Christianrecovery.blogspot.com you will see that I have links to ex-gay ministries. I have personally met former Homosexuals who have repented and God has healed them of this sin. I honestly believe it is more Love for the Homosexual to refer them to these reparative organizations than it is to accept their perverse lifestyle as if it wasn't sin.

So to be accused of "hate speech" is a lie and distortion. In moden America most people who speak out against the homosexual lifestyle are accused of being "Haters". It goes with the territory. I accept that but Im not going to let them make false accustions without responding with a truthful defense.

Many Alcoholics are grateful to AA for helping them stop drinking, and they dont like criticism of AA. That doesnt mean it shouldnt be done. I speak up in the hope that some of these fairly decent AA's will see the truth of what I am saying, and in turn speak up themselves. If they are praying for the knowledge of God's will for them and the power to carry it out, I believe it may happen. That is how change happens.

Modern AA has become morally corrupt. Just like the Apostate "Christian Churches" are corrupt for accepting Gay ministers and Bishops. I intend to keep speaking up on the issue whenever it is timely.

What causes Drug Addiction and Alcoholism

That is a very good question. Many treatment professionals would have you believe there is some mysterious genetic cause. But when you look carefully at the evidence you find that is not convincing at all. So what causes it?Please read the following articles on this website:"The newly recognized shattering effects of child abuse""Hate: The Root of Addictions"and"The Dark Ages of Alcoholism/Addicton Treatment"There is also a letter from the late Father Malachai Martin on this website. You should especially read it if you have a Catholic background. Malachai Martin was a Jesuit priest and official exorcist for the Catholic Church. His book, "Hostage to the Devil" is especially recommended. Here is a link to a news article linking alcoholism to child abuse. I can assure you from personal experience its equally true of addiction to drugs.

Narconon

Well, I try and write about all aspects of what is commonly called Recovery. Narconon is a name that comes up occasionally. When I was using drugs some Scientologists made a feeble attempt to get me involved in Narconon without sucess.

Frankly, I dont have the time to reasearch the details of every rehabilitaton program. However, there is an intimate connection between Narconon and Scientology which I dont think anyone will deny.

A friend of mine (Hi ,Dave) was into scientology and lived at one of their facilities for a year or two. Ive had some long conversations with him about what went on there. The bottom line is that Narconon and Scientology is something you want to stay away from. Heres is a link you might want to check out.

Pharming Parties

Time on-line edition did a story about "Pharming Parties". Here is a link to the article:

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1086173,00.html

Here is one part that stood out to me:

"according to a report issued three weeks ago by Columbia University's National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA), abuse of prescription drugs has increased sharply. CASA says about 2.3 million kids ages 12 to 17 took legal medications illegally in 2003, the latest year for which figures are available. That's three times the number in 1992, or about 1 out of every 10 teens. "It's a hidden epidemic," says Dr. Nicholas Pace, an internist at New York University Medical Center. "Parents don't want to admit there's a problem out there."

You'll notice that they are estimating 1 out of 10 teens are using legal medications illegally. This doent even count the number of kids using illegal drugs. Drug users discover early on that a source of drugs is the medicine chest , and make raids on them. Not only in their own homes, but any homes they visit. When I was a teenager one of my favorite things was to go into my moms dexedring pills and open them up and take about 1/4 of each capsule. I dont think she ever noticed. I would even take the prescription down to the pharmacy and have it refilled without her knowledge and pick up the re-fill. Hopefully, the pharmacies have tightened up on this sort of thing in the last 35 years but who knows.

All of this brings me to my point. For the last 25 years education has been touted as the solution to the drug problem. All of these kids mentioned above went through drug education in school. The result? Its not working is it?

What you are seeing here is the future. Most of this drug use goes beyond experimentation. To steal drugs and trade them at parties is indicative of a real problem. The abuse and addiction already formed will go on for years for most of them.

Americas drug problem is NOT going away through substance abuse education in the schools.

Years ago while doing a talk show on the drug problem with a drug treatment professional, I mentioned that education wasnt the answer to the problem.

His answer: "Well, if education isnt the answer, then I dont know what is"

And thats true, they dont know what the anwer is.

Dr. Bob Quote

"The widow of an oldtimer remembered Dr. Bob standing at the meeting with 'the Good Book under his arm' and recalled that he used to say the answers were there if you looked for them, because people back in the Old Testament were just like the people of this century and had the same problems"---Dr. Bob and the Good Oldtimers, P.227

The Recovery Radio Show

I posted earlier in the week about "The Recovery Radio Show". I called the July 16, hour 3 show which you can listen to at:

http://www.recoveryradioshow.com/archive.htm

Apparently, there was a little misunderstanding between Bob Munck and myself. He thought I was saying that homosexuals should not be allowed at AA meetings. Thats not what I was saying. All I was saying is that AA should not endorse the homosexual lifestyle, either overtly or subtly.

After talking with him on the phone today, I think we cleared it up. Bob seems like a sincere man that believes in Christ and wants to do the will of his Creator. We ended up agreeing that we should "love the sinner" but not the sin.

I wish him all the best, and hope the Creator blesses him to be a shining Light in this dark world.

Article on chidhood and addiction

Well, I finally ran across a lady who seems to have some understanding about addiction. Here is
a quote from her article.

" I firmly believe that a person's childhood has a direct impact on addiction"

The author is S. Tracy Taylor and she is BellaOnline's 12 step recovery Editor. The article is on line at:

Alcoholism is a disease and that is settled

Alcoholism is as disease and that is settled

An acquaintance of mine tells me he went to an AA meeting in Des Moine, Iowa. There was a speakers podium and on it a sign that read "Alcoholism is a disease and that is settled" right under the signs that said "no profanity" and "we talk about the problems of alcoholism, not the problems of the alcoholic."

Let me discuss why the group felt to put a need to put up such a sign. First of all, isnt it because the subject must have come up before?. Yes. And apparently the matter could not be resolved. So in order to stifle any further discussion on the matter, it was decided to put up a sign to limit discussion. Why?

Wouldnt it be simpler just to have the discussion, present the irrefutable proof that alcoholism is a disease and then go on to other matters. The problem, of course, is that AA cannot present any irrefutable proof that alcoholism is a disease, and that the idea does not stand up to the Light of Reality.

So, like good alcoholics, they solve the problem by refusing to allow any discussion of the matter. Shades of Stalin and the Soviet Union!!

In other words, its much like putting up a sign that says "The world is flat. Thats settled".

What is less well known is that one of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous, Dr.Robert Smith, did not believe that alcoholism is a disease:

“Doc dwelt on the idea that this was an illness, but Doc was pretty frank with me. …..He pointed out that probably it was moral or spiritual illness, than it was a physical one”* ( *P.219, The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, 3rd edition)

Well, Alcoholism is not a disease and its definetly not a settled manner. And they can put up a sign on a podium in Des Moine, but they cant stop me from shouting the truth from the rooftops of the internet.

Stop using drugs, stop getting drunk-yes. But that doesnt mean you have to subscribe to the belief that its a "disease".

Read some of my other articles and see if they dont make a lot more sense than the "disease concept".
