Thomas Jefferson on the Trinity

"Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them; and no man ever had a distinct idea of the trinity. It is the mere Abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus." 1816

Interesting quote from Thomas Jefferson.

Update on a newcomer

Well, I have been posting off and on about a newcomer I am calling "Gabriella".

As I posted before, she was released from the Orange County Jail after doing 30 days on a possession charge. She has very little self control and within 30 days of being released was violated for giving her probation officer a dirty test. She is currently doing 90 days on the violation which means she actually does 60 days.

After doing her 60 days, her probation officer is going to require her to do a 6 month stay at a Salvation Army rehab program.

We will see how it goes. I see something good in this girl but unless she gets away from her "friends" and connections, I am afraid it will be more of the same.

Anyway, unless something changes she is headed for an early grave. She is only 34 years old.

Another update on Gabriella. She continues to live at the Salvation Army rehab program, and has been there nearly four months. They put her on probation of some sort because of her outbursts of anger. How much it is helping her I cannot say, but the way she was going she would have soon been dead. It remains to be seen if she will stay clean or not.

But the Salvation Army is doing her a service by at least giving her a chance at a start.
